Oakwood Escape is the place to go, where you can really “let go” and participate in some down-to-earth activities and have the best sleep you’ve had in years.
Situated in a rural area between Canborough and Dunnville on the Niagara Peninsula we are not far from the Grand River along Highway 3; which makes Oakwood Escape very easily accessible. There are also 3 international airports within an hours drive, including Buffalo, New York.
Oakwood Escape offers Luxury camping, also know globally as Glamping. As the camp site is part of a working farm we are growing a shitake mushrooms(seasonal). We also have egg laying chickens and a friendly dog.
The whole site is roughly 50 acres with large section of untouched, beautiful, Carolinian forest. At Oakwood Escape you will be able to stay in one of our canvas prospector styles tents. These tents are spacious with comfortable beds and bedding, as well as all of the handmade furniture, that we personally made on site. Finally, each tent has its own stunning, picture perfect view.
The local area has something to offer for everyone; various outdoor pursuits, wineries, sight-seeing destinations, one of our very own experiential farm activities or you can just relax with a drink by the fire.
You can join us for as little as a weekend or as much as a whole season.
